Emerging Technologies for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Overview

How are cutting-edge tools such as AI, VR and extended reality transforming the landscape of social entrepreneurship?

Join us in Oxford for a dynamic, future-facing day event designed for students and professionals who aspire to create meaningful, scalable impact through innovation.

Participants will critically examine how emerging technologies can address global challenges. Through real-world use case scenarios, guest speakers, and hands-on projects, students will learn how to responsibly harness technological advancements to build sustainable, inclusive solutions that drive positive social and environmental change.

This event encourages an entrepreneurial mindset, guiding students through the process of ideating, validating, and prototyping socially-driven tech ventures. Key topics include ethical innovation, digital inclusion, systems thinking, impact measurement, and financing for tech-enabled social enterprises.

Whether you're an aspiring founder, policymaker, researcher, or changemaker, this event provides the knowledge, frameworks, and tools needed to navigate and lead in a rapidly evolving digital world. You’ll leave not only with a deep understanding of emerging technologies, but also with the strategic insight to apply them ethically and effectively for the public good.

No prior technical background is required - just curiosity, creativity, and a passion for making a difference.

Please note: this event will close to enrolments at 11.59 on 15 October 2025.
