Short courses and events
Our short courses provide flexible learning opportunities but do not lead to an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification. They are offered in two categories: open access and short selective.
Open access courses and events
Open access courses and events have no formal entry requirements, and you can usually enrol directly.
These include:
- Online short courses
- Short professional development courses
- Day and weekend events
- In-person weekly courses
- Summer Schools
- Lecture series
- Graduate and research training skills courses
Terms and Conditions (open access):

Short selective courses
Short selective courses require an application. Once it is submitted, you will need to wait for confirmation of acceptance before your enrolment can be completed.
These courses typically include stand-alone modules drawn from selected master’s-level programmes that are made more widely available.
