Explore the furthest reaches of our solar system as well as planetary systems around other stars. The greatest discoveries and controversies of 21st Century planetary science will be introduced with a minimal amount of mathematical content. Points will be illustrated with some of the latest and best images from satellites, space probes and ground-based observatories.
The history of space exploration and its exciting prospects for the future will be described and discussed. Topics currently in the public eye include upcoming space missions, planetary protection, geoengineering and the perennial search for extra-terrestrial life.
