Michael Whitworth

Professor Michael H. Whitworth is Professor of Modern Literature and Culture in the English Faculty, University of Oxford, and a Tutorial Fellow at Merton College, Oxford. His publications on Woolf include Virginia Woolf (Authors in Context) (2005), Virginia Woolf: Mrs Dalloway (Reader’s Guides to Essential Criticism, 2015), and editions of her novels Orlando (Oxford World’s Classics), and Night and Day (Cambridge University Press, 2018).  He has also written on the relations of literature and science and on modernist poets including T.S. Eliot, C. Day Lewis, Mina Loy, and Hugh MacDiarmid.
