DPhil Teaching Assistants of the Vice-Chancellor's Colloquium

Applications for Hilary term 2026 are open from Monday 27 October to Monday 10 November (5pm).

Oxford Lifelong Learning is recruiting 60 DPhil students at the University of Oxford for an exciting part-time teaching assistant role during Hilary term 2026.

The Vice-Chancellor's Colloquium was launched in the 2023-2024 academic year and reflects a unique opportunity for undergraduates to develop interdisciplinary skills. This year the VC’s Colloquium will have two concurrent themes: climate change and artificial intelligence (DPhils will serve as a teaching assistant for one of these themes), and we are looking for doctoral students from across the four academic divisions to help lead a series of four college-based group discussions and activities. Learn more about the Colloquium.

This role will involve a casual contract with Oxford Lifelong Learning for a total time commitment of 36 hours paid at grade 6.1 or £18.80/hour (this is calculated based on 4 hours per week during the 8-week term, plus an additional 4 hours outside of Hilary Term).

The deadline for applications is Monday 10 November 2025 at 5pm.
